the process
These guys had a pretty clear moodboard for me to work with and all things considered I thought it be a nice chance to do “something public” with stencils – I cut hundreds of stencils a year for workshops but I rarely use em for my own artwork.
So.. this was a nice “change of stage” for my stencil work :P
From paint to pixels to press
The final result
After all the analog work there was of course a lot of digital work to be done in Photoshop to make it all fit together nicely. Some color changes some cutting ‘n pastin and after that of to the press.

In the end I gave the original piece to the band as well, a lot of times these things end up or stay in my blackbook, but this seemed the right thing to do with this one :-P it’s a bit to big for my blackbook anyway and it’s being way more appreciated in the studio.
All ‘n all this was a very nice collaboration :-)
